Subject: A roller coaster of a read
The Safe House was the third Nicci French book I read. Having read Killing me softly and Secret Smile before it, I was hell bent on reading more from this dynamic duo, and I was not disappointed. Now after having read all their books I can honestly say there isn't a bad one amongst them. The Safe house keeps you gripped from start to finish and what I loved about it was the feminine maternal undertones coming through when Sam takes the patient home with her .Then on another page you read about the darker grisly aspect of the book.(don't want to say too much as I may spoil it for those who haven't read it yet.).It is so diverse you don't expect it..You get to experience the emotions and I found myself literally worried for Sam and at one point questioned her judgement and the medical ethics of her involvement,Then I remembered it wasn't real and that it was just a book. Once again I was unable to put the book down and would advise anyone who hasn,t read it yet get ready for a roller coaster of a read .
